Changing Your Email: “Email is Already in Use”
If you try to change your email in eKool but see a message that “email is already in use”, it means that this email is already connected to another eKool account.
Good to know!
Most common reason: The email is still connected to an old account you no longer use or was used by a parent when creating a child’s account.
To use this email with your current account, you’ll first need to remove it from the other account.
What to Do?
Log in to the Other Account.
You need to log in to the account that the email is currently connected to.

Once you’ve recovered access, continue with the steps below.

Remove the Email from the Other Account
Follow these steps to change the email address in the account where it’s currently used:

- Open My Profile from top right
- Go to Account & Profile -> Contact data
- Click Edit
- Update your details
- Click Save changes
Confirm contact data
- Once saved, a 6-digit code will be sent to the address/message entered. A code and a confirmation button will be sent to your email.
- Enter the code in the field and confirm.
Return to Your Original Account
Now that the email is no longer in use, log back in to your original account and add the email.
Follow the same steps:
My Profile -> Account & Profile -> Contact data -> Edit -> Add your email -> Save changes -> Confirm with the code.

- Click Account from lower menu
- Open Manage profile
- Scroll to Contact data section
- Click Edit
- Update your details
- Click Save changes

- Enter the code in the field and confirm.
Return to Your Original Account
Now that the email is no longer in use, log back in to your original account and add the email:
Follow the same steps:
Account -> Manage profile -> Contact data -> Edit -> Add your email -> Save changes -> Confirm with the code.
